Scholarship Opportunities

Colorado Environmental Council for Training, Inc. (CECTI) has lost a dear friend and long-time instructor to our operator short school. On March 1, 2025, John Tedder, who worked for Pipestone Equipment and was formerly the owner of Rocky Mountain Valve, passed away. John taught numerous courses on valves over the years and is an industry expert in the field. CECTI would like to celebrate and commemorate John Tedder by offering a free registration to the 2025 CECTI Short School to an operator in his name.

In honor of John Tedder’s impact on the industry, CECTI would like to sponsor a class 1 or class 2 system operator in Distribution, Collection, and/or Small Systems (systems with populations smaller than 25,000) with a free registration to the 2025 CECTI Operator Short School. The scholarship could be awarded for financial reasons, to enhance industry knowledge, or for any other viable reason that benefits your professional or organizational needs.

 

Please submit your application to info@cecti.org (a simple Word document will suffice) by September 1, 2025.

Please provide your name, workplace city or organization name, operator ID (if previously certified), system size, email address, phone number, and how this scholarship will benefit you or your system. The selected entry will be notified by email or phone and posted on the CECTI.org webpage by (2 weeks after application submittal deadline). The CECTI Board will review your entry.
